Cacao Volcano
Located in the Mountain range of Guanacaste to 1659 m.s.n.m. has a crater to the Southwest of which there are not activity records. In their sheer hillsides, there are numerous nascent that flow toward the Lake of Nicaragua and the Gulf of Nicoya, like the case of the Tempisque river. In one of their slopes, to a height of 1050 m.s.n.m. there is the Biological Station of Cacao. In the near area has been found a great quantity of petroglifos.
